Group Visits to Sticky Wicket and Meadow Management Courses

2013

Sticky Wicket will once more open its gates to groups only, by appointment only, between 17th June and 21st July 2013 and run two Meadows Courses 28th and 29th June.

We look forward to welcoming groups of visitors (minimum 10) interested in wildflowers and wildlife at our ‘Wilder Wicket’. This is not a recommended venue for the ‘tidy garden’ enthusiast or fanatical horticulturist!  In fact we need to re-define the word ‘garden’.   Our five acre holding is a ‘romantic paradise’ where a lightly-managed, happy chaos reigns and a phenomenal volume of wildflowers, and associated wildlife, continue to flourish in our traditional meadows, amongst the remaining stalwart ornamentals and mingle with our organically grown home produce. Areas close to the new house are still being re-developed. We hope the new ethos will inspire visitors with different ways of managing their own land or garden.
